How do you feel about me appropriating our entire school’s fundraising donations to help the people of CHILE?
Being the treasurer of my high school, I have the ultimate decision to decide where to appropriate our school’s fundraising efforts. We have $21,000 to donate to a charity (ies) of our choice. I said NO to HAITI because I feel that US citizens have been great in giving to Haiti.
I really feel great about my decision and I know the rest of my ASB will come around as well. I also have a better feeling about the funds getting into the RIGHT hands of those that need help in Chile.
NO charity or organization was chosen when $$$ was raised. I have the decision to choose where this $$$ goes. Decision to be made this Friday.
We have raised over $10,000 to go to local food agency- Second Harvest. Plus out of our shool plays- 2 of the entire proceeds go to San Jose women and children shelter.
Strictly speaking if you did you’d be guilty of taking money under false pretences as it was given in good faith specifically for the Haiti quake.
